Raphael. This is the last time I will ask… When are we going to see some more posts??? This assignment is not judged purely on who brings the most impressive design on the day of submission - The assessment criteria for this assignment specifically places an emphasis on the DEVELOPMENT of your design from the words, to the sketch sections, to the draft Sketchup model, to the sketch textures. If you have not submitted evidence of each of these requirements your marks will be affected. Furthermore, if the requirements appear overnight just before the assessment is due all this does is leave me to question the authenticity of the work. Consider this my final warning on this matter – I expect your blog to be up to date prior to studio on Wednesday. A link to the assessment criteria for this assignment is here: http://russelllowe.com/arch1101_2016/experiment1/reference/ARCH1101%20MARKING%20SCHEDULE%20EX_1_Form.doc Chris.
Raphael. Your model needs a ground plane to give context to the 'above' and the 'below'. Refer to the post on my blog. Also your model is still just looking like an 'extrusion' of your section, you need to develop the design to be more that that... It should be just as interesting if i were to cut a section at 90 degrees to your original section. Dont get too hung up on colours. Feel free to deviate away from the shape of your original sketch, this is to be expected as it is part of the design process to develop an idea, inherently that means that it might change how it looks. Chris.
